About Pioneer

Pioneer Corporation is a Japanese multinational corporation that excels in consumer electronics for digital entertainment. Pioneer was first established in 1938 by entrepreneur Nozomu Matsumoto, and their initial operations consisted of radio and speaker repair out of a small shop. Over the following years, Pioneer began to diversify their operations, producing various speaker and stereo systems and introducing them to the public. In 1966, Pioneer began to expand internationally in Europe and the United States, and two years later they were listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as a publicly traded company.
