About PTI Technologies Inc.

PTI Technologies was founded in 1924, originally operating under the name Motor Improvement, Inc. Their first initiative as a company was to pioneer filtration technology, their products of which served for a variety of uses and applications. Two years after their founding, PTI developed the first automobile oil filter, and they later became the primary supplier for the US government with such products during World War II. After the war, PTI began to grow in the aerospace industry with their hydraulic filtration supplies, continuing their expansion. During the 1980’s, PTI was acquired by HR Textron, establishing themselves as the second largest aerospace provider. PTI was acquired once again in 1992, becoming a subsidiary of ESCO Technologies Inc. which it remains with today.
